It gives me great pleasure  to introduce our  Presenter, Distinguished Toastmaster, Dr. Godfrey E. “GMac” McAllister, JP.
DTM Godfrey makes waves wherever he goes. You have to decide whether you like him, or whether you don’t.  But you just can’t ignore him and pretend that he isn’t there!
How do you ignore someone who is born in Guyana, migrates to Jamaica to pursue university studies, graduates, joins the Life Insurance Industry, and then in his first three months in the business, as a rookie, shatters all records to date, and qualifies for the Million Dollar Round Table in his first three months of orientation.
How do you ignore someone who, along with no more than 3% of all the Agents in the world, attends the Million Dollar Round Table Conference in New Orleans ... completely ignores the hundreds like himself… and focuses all his attention on the 0.001% of persons in the auditorium who had qualified for the “Top of the Table” Section of the International Million Dollar Round Table. Godfrey then asks his boss to tell him what must be done to qualify for the Top of the Table Section.  His boss tells him that he must sell  10 times as much insurance in one year as the amount he sold to qualify for the Million Dollar Round Table.  How do you ignore someone who then, against all odds, in July of the competition year, returns to Jamaica, sells 10 times as much insurance in 6 months than the amount he sold in the entire previous year, and in so doing, became the 1st Jamaican to qualify for and attend the ultimately prestigious “Top of the Table” section of the international Million Dollar Round Table.
If I had more time, I would tell you how, competing out of little Jamaica, he maintained the #1 World-wide Leader position in American Life Insurance Personal Accident Insurance Sales for seven consecutive years… each year breaking his own record.
But this one you must hear.  Our presenter joined the Toastmasters movement and asked what was the highest qualification that could be had.  He was told, to become a Distinguished Toastmaster.  He asked, “What is the shortest time that anyone has ever achieved that designation.”  HE was told four (4) years. Our presenter then announced that he would be doing it in one year. Fellow Toastmasters and guests… He did not only say it… He did it… as a matter of fact, he did it with one day to spare.
